This course was a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Pawtucket.  RISD student mentors provided workshop style projects at the new Boys and Girls Club Art Center.  This course was led by Prof. Deba Patnaik and is a Graduate Studio course.

Boys and Girls Club students were engaged in the process of creating things.  They liked having their "own" pieces of projects made.  As a part of graphic design and photography experimentation in digital photography students took hundreds of images of their surroundings, their RISD partners, and eventually themselves.

One group of RISD student mentors planned and implemented the building of twelve benches as a seating area for a short film produced.  The benches were redesigned from originals at the Art Center and were piced together and painted in colaboration with youth from the center.
